TGI ....

... it's Hannah Tan! If you have been reading my blogg, this is the continuation from my previous posting. Well anyway ....

... I was not too happy as Calvin messaged me over MSN asking me "So how?" in which I had earlier told him to pick me up from the office at 8 p.m. He messaged me at 7.57 p.m. I was like, omg ... like wtf? My colleagues at the office were asking me where to go for dinner but I sheepishly smiled and told them that I'm working half day only today. LOL. As my desk phone clock hit exactly 8, I dashed to the pantry to wash my coffee mug and put my office equipment back at my drawer and I was outta there before you can even say "Where's P******?" Mean time, I was trying to get a hold of Zona to let her know that I'll be arriving late (since Calvin and I were abit afraid about being late and due to that, there's no more seating for us) but no luck. Of course, I wouldn't expect her to pick up the phone or even answer my sms since she is after all busy working.

... Calvin arrived at my office about half past 8 and we left the place. Then he sounded not too sure of how to get there (which made me panic abit) and his car windows wouldn't open (both sides of the car windows ain't working) cause him and I wanted to smoke. We got stuck at the 1st traffic light and seeing as it is, we made a quick dash to turn left to make a big loop to head back over to my office, parked his car and took my Kelisa instead. Okay, so we had our windows opened, took our smoke and I tried to rush since it was like 20 minutes to 9 p.m. now but argh! It was Pasar Malam night for SS2, Petaling Jaya so we got stuck in the jam trying to get the heck outta that place and get on to the LDP Highway. Alamak oi ....

... We managed to arrive there like 3 minutes to 9 and we sorta rushed over to the scene; which of course was TGIF Restaurant, The Curve at Damansara. Phew, so they were still shooting the 1st segment and does anyone know who is Nell Ng? If you remembered what she looked like ... say couple of years ago, she's no way even close to that! She's slimmed down so much, I was like, "Holy Cow! Is that Nell Ng who actually hosted the local TV Game Show for the brand LG? Wow!". If you still don't quite get what I mean, she looks fabulous. Soon after, I spotted Zona and she introduced me to her assistant producer (crap! sorry ... I forgot the name). I was remembered as the 'Brain Freeze' guy from the 1st episode who played the game during the show ... lol ... wow, famous for being a sohai. The 2nd segment wasn't about to start anytime soon so she then showed me the way to the buffet area for our dinner. Oh did I mention that I met Mal too? He was there too for some professional shooting (Please do not refrain from using your imagination with the word "shooting" ... hahahahahahahahahaha)

... It was at the back and at 1st I didn't notice but at another glance, there she was Hannah Tan! She was reading her script (or something else that was about the show she's about to do) and to be honest, I was abit disappointed perhaps. Could be the lighting that I didn't quite get a good look at her. Cause at 1st glance, I thought she was one of the audience with tons of make up on (or maybe too much make up) and I thought that she was a malay. Not that I'm racist or anything like that but my point is at 1st glance, I couldn't recognize her at all. Anyway, Calvin and I then saw the buffet and got our seats. Since we were late, they only had like salad (which I don't quite like) and chicken wings with a buncha chicken drumsticks. I was like starving so I finished them all ... LOL ... like a dozen of 'em.

... Now that we're rather stuffed, we headed back over to the main area where they were shooting the segments. They weren't done yet so I sat down and I met Ivy (whom I think is the PR manager for TGIF Restaurant). Waited, waited and waited.

... Finally when all the lights were turned off, I walked over to Zona asking her perhaps whether could we be seated. She showed us where we will be and we're like at the front row! Calvin's 1st expression was of course (and nothing less), "Wah, why so close 1? Where got such thing?". LOL. That's Calvin for you alright. Then there's the perks of sitting so ... in front. There was free food. Calvin was served with some sort of milk shake (I think) and a dish called "Fisherman's Platter" while I was served with a creamy chocolaty shake drink (which I also don't know the name) and my dish was "Ultimate Nachos". Didn't quite like the nachos though so I stole took some of Calvin's. Hehe. We couldn't eat the meal straight away (I wasn't in a hurry anyway since I was rather stuffed) as we had to wait till they actually shoot the food for the show.

... Well, let's talk about the people whom were there. There was Naz (allo! wassup! ... LOL), a buncha Assuntarians (whom I recognized and looked good too ... fui yoh) and Hans Isaac. I was glad where I was seated (Calvin agreed too!) cause we actually got a good ... no wait ... great ... still not good ... SUPERB view of Hannah Tan. Now with proper lighthing, I actually got to see her properly and she looked great. Naz got a chance to take a photo with her and eventhough Calvin (including Mal) was like asking me to go get a pic with her. Nah, was too chicken shit anyhow. This hick town boy just don't have the balls with famous people or super stars perhaps. Guess I'm just meant to be invisible and enjoy my life as a background perhaps. Okay okay, enough rambling.

... Another reason why I'm glad to where I was seated, we met Milka whom was a good friend of Serena C. Serena was great; very down to earth, superly friendly (I thought all famous people or super stars are like stuck up and what nots) and funny too. I got to watch closely on how Zona works. I do like the movie business but seeing I don't have the looks, no talent for producing nor directing, guess I'll just enjoy from an audience point of view. I did manage to get a few smiles from Hannah Tan (too bad boys, she's taken) and did you know she's coming up with a debut album? Yeapz, I didn't know she could sing too. Will check it out later when it's out.

... Cutting things short, the show was splendid, lots of laughs and as you can see the pictures which were taken professionally by Mal (thank you!) and after all that, Calvin and I headed back home. I did thought of going for a game or 2 of Dota but then again, I do have to wake up early in the morning to send "A" to school, I better start getting used to having a life alone.
